We were approached by Trade Holding of such and such a company with the need to develop a new interior concept for the new flagship store of the trade network of stores “GRAZIE” in the new elite shopping and entertainment complex of Almaty “Yesentai Mall”. The designer was required to comply with the brand identity of the brand, to place the necessary range of goods, otherwise full creative freedom was given.
{ Layout }
The first thing that the author of the project refused from was the typical store layout solutions used in this retail chain, consisting of simple unified retail furniture arranged on a grid from each other. The room has a rectangular shape, the window part is placed on the narrow side of the rectangle, and the space itself is divided in half visually by columns. And provided that the goods of the store are also divided by assortment into men's and women's departments, shoe department and clothing department, the author decided to divide the space into 2 halls, one after the other in the depth of the room, and on the women's and men's part on the right and left respectively. Thus the rhythm of zoning was created, to which the whole functionality of the interior is subordinated. Unlike most stores, the reception is located in the center of the store at a considerable distance from the fitting areas, which are placed at the very end of the clothing department, with two fitting rooms for the women's and men's half of the store.
About the interior:
The interior style of the store is modern minimalism with elements of futurism and art deco, the bold combination in a restrained execution gives the interior relevance even after almost 15 years since the concept was created.
The highlight of the interior are three structures in a smoothly curving form, like a petal, rising from the floor and gradually passing to the ceiling. Such a solution became possible due to high ceilings of more than 4.5 meters.
The store is divided into zones - the first hall from the entrance is designed for men's and women's shoes, the second hall, starting after the reception area behind the mirror arch, is designed for both men's and women's clothing.
All interior elements were individually designed for this project: furniture, constructions, showcase, trade equipment, leather decor panels with lighting, chandeliers, pouffes.
